Web & Administrative Systems: Projects
WAS works in a coordinated team effort with other members of the Information Services division to make positive changes to the University's information systems and services. Much of our work is divided into three main categories: maintenance of existing systems, enhancements to existing systems and functions, and projects.
Projects involving IS are coordinated efforts that meet these criteria:
- require more than 40 hours of work
- support new functionality
- have a team-defined beginning and end
Projects are a result of communication and awareness of growth opportunities. Project needs and ideas are submitted by any member of the University community to IS directors or the CIO. A team of IS managers, who together serve the role of project manager, meet to discuss new project ideas and insure that progress is being made and obstacles removed from current projects.
Note: WAS has recently received a large number of
PerfectForms form requests as project requests. Because the PerfectForm application makes creating online forms very accessible with initial training, forms can be and are built by the form requestor. Therefore, these are actually not projects. If you would like help getting started with PerfectForms or would like to create a specific online form, please contact
WAS.
