Prior to being a visiting instructor, Barbara Bloom-Groshong served as adjunct faculty member in the Pamplin School of Business. She taught business law and leadership skills courses, and will be adding cross-cultural organizational behavior and human resources management classes this year. A graduate of Santa Clara University (B.S., political science) and Willamette University College of Law, Barbara was an attorney/shareholder for 22 years at the Bullard Law firm in Portland. She practiced employment and labor law in both the public and private sectors, with specialty areas including labor negotiations and arbitration, EEOC/BOLI investigations, administrative hearings, employee and supervisory training, and workplace privacy issues. She was a frequent speaker on these topics to organizations throughout the West Coast, often speaking and writing about social media in today’s workplace. Barbara has made presentations to the Pacific Northwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business, and has been a guest lecturer at Lewis & Clark Law School. Raised in the Portland area and a graduate of Sunset High School, she has volunteered as a youth sports coach, parent resource committee member, and school auction co-chair and emcee. She enjoys spending time at the Oregon Coast and Central Oregon, as well as traveling around the United States and Europe.
