Briana Rotter

Briana RotterAssistant Professor of Nursing

Prior to teaching at University of Portland, Briana Rotter worked as a nurse practitioner at Housecall Providers. There she functioned as a primary care provider for patients that were homebound and unable to get to a primary care clinic. Briana completed her doctorate in nursing practice with a certificate in nursing education at the University of South Alabama. While completing her master of science in nursing from University of South Alabama, she studied palliative care. She received her bachelor of science in nursing from University of Portland. In addition to teaching, Briana works part time for Housecall Providers performing intake exams and discussing end-of-life healthcare wishes and advanced care planning with homebound patients and their loved ones. She has a passion for increasing nursing student knowledge of palliative care. When she isn’t visiting patients or teaching at UP, she can be found running, teaching a senior fitness class at the local gym, or vacationing to tropical places.
