K.T. EmersonDirector of Student Placements of Education

A Pilot through and through, K.T. Emerson returns to The Bluff with many experiences in education. K.T. graduated from University of Portland in 2001 with her B.A. in elementary education. She was also a member of the Pilot volleyball team. K.T. continued her education as a Pilot and completed her M.Ed. in 2005. She also completed the Initial Administrative Licensure program in 2013 and plans to continue her education in the doctoral program. Her passion for learning and the success of students led K.T. to a very rewarding teaching and administrative career. She taught at the elementary level for 13 years in Lake Oswego, and then moved to administration in North Clackamas School District as an assistant principal and athletics/activities director. She worked at both the state and league levels to ensure that opportunities for student were engaging and accessible. K.T. enjoys coaching and volunteering in the local community. K.T. challenges herself with training for various events, including duathlons and triathlons, and hopes to complete a Half Ironman in 2018.
