Nazanin Mansouri

Nazanin MansouriAssistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Prior to joining UP, Nazanin Mansouri was a SoC design engineer working in the area of power management in a prestigious design team at Intel (Hillsboro, Ore.). She worked in design of the next generations of portable electronic devices. Prior to that she was a member of the computer engineering faculty at Syracuse University in New York. Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of digital design and microelectronics, and she has taught a variety of senior and graduate-level CE courses. Nazanin earned her Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and her B.S. in electrical engineering with specialization in computer hardware from Iran University of Science and Technology. During her doctoral studies, she worked on research projects in the area of formal verification of digital systems funded by Wright-Patterson Air Force Research Lab. She has many publications as book chapters, journal papers, and peer refereed conference papers that include topics such as power optimization, computer-aided design, and formal and functional verification of digital systems. Nazanin’s personal interests include music, literature, cinema, languages, and the arts in general. She likes a wide spectrum of crafts and always enjoys a good discussion on politics. She also volunteers as a translator, helping to prepare literature for charitable foundations with the focus on improving the quality of life and education of children in developing countries.
