Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, Air Force ROTC 

First Lieutenant Jena ZanderFirst Lieutenant Jena Zander is a Pacific Northwest native from Seattle. She graduated from Florida State University with two bachelor of science degrees in management information systems and human resource management, with a minor in business analytics. Upon graduation, Lt. Zander was a technology consultant/auditor for IT systems in Atlanta, Georgia. She commissioned through Officer Training School in 2016 as an acquisitions officer. Her first assignment was at Los Angeles Air Force Base where she was the lead program manager for global positioning satellite contracts, including certification of a new rocket. Additionally, she headed the next-gen MILSATCOM cyber-hardened system, advanced special projects, and resiliency studies while supporting a selectively-manned SECDEF-directed $6B combat communications spacecraft C2 system. Her military awards include the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Organizational Excellence Ribbon w/1 OLC, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Lt. Zander is a certified Project Management Institute project management professional. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in management information systems and a business analytics graduate certificate from Auburn University. In her free time, Lt. Zander enjoys Spartan races, horseback riding, snowboarding, and traveling.
