Nikki Warthen

photo of Nikki WarthenNikki Warthen grew up in Southwest Washington. Prior to joining UP, she was a tenure track nursing faculty member at Lower Columbia College (LCC.) She completed her master’s degree in nursing at Grand Canyon University. Her evidence-based research involved simulation, which was part of her teaching emphasis at LCC. Nikki has been a nurse since 1994. She graduated from University of San Francisco with her bachelor of science in nursing and returned to her northwest roots soon after. Over the past 20 years, she has held staff nurse and educator positions at Oregon Health & Science University on the kidney and liver transplant unit. Nikki recognizes how rewarding a nursing career can be and looks forward to being instrumental in bringing up the next generation of nurses. She has lived in Battle Ground, Washington for almost 17 years, and enjoys family road trips and watching her children play soccer.
