Application Checklist and Timeline

We have an Early Action deadline of December 1.  If you meet that deadline with all submitted documents, you will receive an admissions decision within four weeks. You may also apply by our Regular Decision deadline of February 1. After these dates, we will accept applications on a space available basis.

There are a number of ways a student can transfer credit to UP. Taking AP, IB, Running Start, dual or concurrent enrollment classes? See how UP will award credit.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

We offer merit-based aid and need-based aid in addition to scholarships in music, theater, athletics, and ROTC. Students do not apply for a merit scholarship; they are automatically awarded to those who qualify. They may range from $13,000-$26,000 annually.

Honors Program

Any accepted first-year students may apply to this program which includes honors core courses, focused work in a student's major, a faculty mentor, and special emphases on study abroad, research, service opportunities, and more. Incoming honors students last year had an average 3.92 unweighted GPA and SAT score of 1420.
