Reunion Weekend 2018 FAQ

A Save the Date was sent the end of November 2017. A brochure providing weekend highlights and registration materials will be mailed to alumni 1978 and prior in Spring 2018. If you graduated in 1979 or later, we urge you to consider the more eco-friendly online registration option, but you may request mailed registration by contacting our office at 503-943-7328. Detailed information and online registration will be available at up.edu/reunion as it becomes available.

Milestone anniversaries will be celebrated for classes ending in 3 & 8. Class of 1968, Class of 1998, and Class of 2008 will be honored with individual class socials.

Absolutely! We’d love to see you back on The Bluff.

Yes, you can either contact our office and we can mail you a brochure, or you download the paper brochure when it is available Spring 2018.

The deadline for registration is June 8, 2018. UP’s Alumni Reunion Weekend is well-attended and space may be limited based on the anticipated attendance for our larger events. Availability is given on a first-come, first-served basis but we will certainly do our best to accommodate all our Pilots.

Yes! A dorm will be selected for alumni visitors. The dorm will be announced in Spring 2018. The fee for one room (two beds) is $65 for the entire weekend. If you wish to stay in a hotel, you may inquire about a University of Portland Alumni rate at the nearby North Harbour Marriott hotels.

The first signature event open to all alumni is our President’s Welcome Reception & Alumni Awards on Friday, June 22 at 6:45 p.m. Thursday includes events for our Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) and the Class of 1998. Friday afternoon features some light programming as well, all of which will be listed in the registration materials. You don’t want to miss Friday evening’s event!

You may! Reunion Headquarters will not open until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, so you will not have access to your registration materials until that time. However, we can still accommodate Thursday arrivals.

The front desk staff will be available to process your checkout from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24.

The deadline for submitting a nomination for the 2018 Alumni Awards was October 1, 2017.

Yes! Saturday evening’s Welcome Home BBQ features a daycare option for our future Pilots. Children may stay in the dorm with you as well. If you have questions about children attending a specific event, please contact our office at 503-943-7328.

The weekend is fairly casual, but we recommend cocktail attire for our President’s Welcome Reception & Alumni Awards on Friday. By that we mean slacks and a jacket, cocktail dresses, etc. Of course, purple is always recommended!

You certainly may. We have a good amount of walkers each year during our Old Stomping Grounds 5k.
