Women's Spirituality Groups

Women at UP may choose from two different opportunities to explore their identifies and relationships as women.

Sisterhood of Heartfelt and Empowerment (SHE)

Through the Sisterhood of Heartfelt Empowerment (SHE), all-female small groups of 8-10 students meet weekly and 2 female mentors meet with the group on a monthly basis. Mentors offer support to participants in accordance with three main values: feeling empowered, living authentic lives, and finding space to explore and integrate information about their identities.

Small groups form at the beginning of the year and require a year-long commitment. Sign-up opportunities are also available mid-year for students joining UP or returning from study abroad.

SHE is possible through a collaboration of the Health and Counseling Center and Campus Ministry and involves many additional collaborators across campus. To receive more information and find out whether SHE might be a good fit for you, please contact:

Rise with Delight

Rise with delight was started by a group of students in 2016. This group utilizes materials from a national women's faith-sharing program called delight. For more information, please contact Beth Barsotti at
