Career Fairs and on Campus Recruiting

The Career Center hosts a variety of employers and alumni on campus each semester. Events such as career fairs, information sessions, panels and on-campus interviews are great resources for you to gain exposure to a variety of career paths and build professional contacts.

Attend one of the How to Work a Job Fair workshops and stop by during Extended Drop-In Hours to have your resume reviewed. Review the Career Center calendar for dates and times.  

Career Fairs: There are four career fairs on campus in the spring of 2018.

  • The SWE Engineering & Computer Science Career Fair is Friday, February 23 from 1-4 pm. UP alumni and current students with majors in engineering, computer science, chemistry, math, and physics are invited to attend. Meet with over 45 company representatives to learn more about summer jobs, internships, and full-time positions.   • The UP Spring Grad School & Job Fair will be on Friday, March 2 from 11 am - 3 pm at the Chiles Center. UP students and young alumni (Class of 2008 - Class of 2017) will have an opportunity to meet over 125 employers to learn more about summer jobs, internships, and full-time positions as well as graduate school recruiters to learn more about graduate/professional school. In addition, Alumni Insights from 1pm - 2:30 pm provides an opportunity to connect with alumni and learn about careers in a variety of industries.  

  • The Nursing Career Fair is on Thursday, March 8, 2018, from 11am-1pm. For more information, contact Anaraquel Aguilera at

  • The Educators Career Fair is Thursday, March 15 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm in the Commons. UP students and alumni will have an opportunity to meet recruiters from Oregon and Washington school districts.
