UP 2023 SPRING INTERNSHIP & JOB FAIR

RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, MARCH 31 FROM  1:00 - 4:00 P.M. IN THE CHILES CENTER

The Career Education Center is partnering with the Society of Women Engineers and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers student chapters to host the UP Spring Internship & Job Fair. Students and alumni will have the opportunity to meet representatives from organizations in all industries including non-profit, government agencies, and for-profit corporations to learn more about summer jobs, internships and full-time opportunities. Guided fair tours will be available to students every half hour beginning at 1 pm, and the last tour begins at 3 pm. 

Leading up to the event, the Career Education Center is hosting fair preparation workshops and extended drop-in hours for resume review.

Guided Fair Tours

FRIDAY, MARCH 31 AT 1:00 Ι 1:30 Ι 2:00 Ι 2:30 Ι 3:00 Ι

Guided tours are for all students whether you want an orientation and to learn what to expect or want an orientation before participating.  Tours are a great opportunity especially for first and second-year students to learn about how to prepare for and succeed in future career fairs. For students who want an overview prior to attending, join a tour before making connections!  A staff member will guide groups around the event while providing an overview and answering questions. Students who wish to participate in a tour should check in at the Chiles Center main entrance five minutes prior to a tour start time.

Internship & Job Fair Preparation Workshop

TUESDAY, MARCH 28, 4 - 4:30 P.M. 

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29, 4 - 4:30 P.M. 

THURSDAY, MARCH 30, 4 - 4:30 P.M.  

This workshop provides tips about what to do before, during and after a fair to make the event a success. Students should choose one workshop to attend and register on Handshake for the time you that works for you.

Extended Drop-In Hours

MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY, MARCH 28-30 FROM 1 TO 4 P.M. 

Students planning on attending the Internship & Job Fair can stop by the Career Education Center in Franz Hall, Room 110 for a quick 15-minute resume review.

Fair Information: Registration & Participating Companies

Students can log into Handshake to register for the fair and see a list of participating organizations. Employers are seeking to hire for summer jobs, internships and entry-level full-time opportunities. 

Alpha Kappa Psi's Dress UP

Want to dress sharp for the upcoming Internship & Job Fair? Look no further than UP's donation-based professional clothing closet. Take up to four items from the closet! To access this resource, go to the Pamplin School of Business Dean's Suite in Franz Hall Room 425 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm to have the closet unlocked. Email meckey23@up.edu with any questions.
