Nina Henrichs-Tarasenkova teaches THE 105, THE 205, and occasional upper-division classes. Her areas of specialization are biblical theology, hermeneutics, and Christology. She aims to teach her students how to read biblical texts against their socio-historical, cultural, and literary contexts, in order to hear and understand their message within the contemporary setting. She started working at the University of Portland in the fall of 2013 as an adjunct professor and was hired as a full-time instructor in 2016. Prior to coming to the University of Portland, Nina worked as an adjunct instructor at Warner Pacific College and Asbury Theological Seminary. She has a B.A. in Religion and Christian Ministries from Warner Pacific College, M.A. in Biblical Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in New Testament Theology from Brunel University. She has written dictionary articles, exegetical commentaries, and book reviews.
