Important Information

We are so excited to see you on The Bluff for Family Weekend! Please see below for important information.
 

Check in for Family Weekend

Check in at the UP Bookstore for everything you need for the weekend, including name badges, and a schedule of events. Your name badge is your 'ticket' to all Family Weekend events; be sure to wear it while on campus.

Packets can be picked up at the following times at Headquarters in the UP Bookstore:

  • Friday, February 18 from 3–8 p.m.
  • Saturday, February 19 from 8 a.m.–2 p.m.

Bookstore Specials

While you are checking in at Family Weekend Headquarters, take advantage of the Bookstore’s 10% off merchandise sale.

Pregame Social Hour and Basketball Game

Tickets

Basketball and the Social Hour are included in your registration. Your name badge is your 'ticket' for entry to these special Family Weekend events. Students will gain access to the game with their Student ID and do not need a separate game ticket.

Check-In Process

  • Both students and guests will enter through the main entrance.
  • Please note that there are standard security measures in place for entering the Chiles Center for the basketball game, including walking through a metal detector.
  • Please allow plenty of time to get through security.
  • Outside food and drink, backpacks, duffel bags, or bags larger than 12" x 12" x 6" are prohibited. View the comprehensive list of prohibited items.
  • Make your way to the Family Weekend seats and enjoy the game! All seats are general admission. 

Transportation

Parking

For parking during the weekend, you may use the main parking lot at UP, which can be accessed by entering the main entrance on Willamette Blvd and turning right at the Pilot House. You may also use any unmarked spots in the surrounding area. Vvisitor parking permits are not necessary during First-Year & Sophomore Family Weekend.

 

Weather

The weather forecast for this weekend will be typical Portland weather – cold and  a bit rainy – but we don’t let rain spoil our fun in the Pacific Northwest! Bring plenty of layers and keep in mind that you will likely be walking around campus.
