Innovation Workshops

Speakers and workshops create opportunities for students to interact with experts, practitioners, and designers on and off campus. These sessions provide real world experience, viewpoints, and help students to learn about applications and careers that leverage their knowledge and skills.

Innovation Scholars

Innovation courses, including our popular Introduction to Innovation, allow students from all majors across campus to design and create innovative projects and practices that advance new ways of thinking to solve problems, increase productivity, and provide better service. Currently we are developing an Innovation Certificate, allowing students to focus on new ideas while highlighting their skills to employers, collaborators, and co-creators.

Innovation Fellows at University of Portland come from disciplines across campus and our local community. Identified as innovation leaders on campus, they work closely with students, faculty, and staff to support campus-wide innovation programming efforts, course development, and studio experiences.

Innovation Lab

This special lab on campus is a creative space that provides a collaborative environment for students to work together, share ideas, design solutions, and brainstorm alternatives. The space offers supplies, tools, and technology and also supports courses, competitions, and student projects to bring them from ideation to creation.
