Services provided through the Health and Counseling Center are offered either for free or at minimal cost, regardless of insurance status to ALL ACTIVE STUDENTS.Visits with all Health and Counseling Center providers are free. Medications, injections, medical supplies, and diagnostic or laboratory studies are supplied for a nominal fee.
The University believes that a solid health plan is vital to the well-being of our students. As such, all full-time undergraduate students are required to carry medical insurance and are automatically enrolled in a PacificSource Health Plan. Students with comparable existing health insurance coverage may complete an online Health Insurance Waiver.

Part-time undergraduate and all graduate students are not required to participate in the University group insurance plan and are not automatically enrolled. Part-time undergraduate students and graduate students who would like to participate in the University group insurance plan can contact student accounts for more information.
The waiver form for 2020-2021 will be available in mid-July. Please have your current health insurance ID card available to complete the waiver form.
The deadline to complete the waiver for fall 2020 is 2:00 p.m. (PDT) August 28, 2020.
The deadline to complete the waiver for spring 2021 is 2:00 p.m. (PST) January 15, 2021*
*Only applicable to new and returning students who were not enrolled on campus fall semester
Once your online waiver application has been submitted, it will be checked for accuracy. You will receive an email within 5-7 business days notifying you that we need more information if it looks like your coverage does not meet the waiver requirements. The premium charge will remain on your student account until more information is received that meets waiver requirements.
If your waiver is approved, please allow 5-7 business days for the waiver credit to be posted to your student account.
