COVID-19

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, please submit a COVID-19 Report form and stay in your room until you are able to speak with a healthcare provider. If at any time you experience severe symptoms including trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion, inability to wake or stay awake, or bluish lips or face call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

COVID-19 Testing

COVID-19 testing is available at the Health and Counseling Center Monday through Friday. If you are experiencing COVID symptoms or believe you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please schedule a virtual visit though the student health portal or email hcc@up.edu. This initial evaluation will be conducted by one of our healthcare providers who will be able to make individualized recommendations regarding quarantine, isolation and testing.

The HCC is currently conducting Rapid Antigen Testing in-house and PCR testing through Quest Diagnostics. In-house COVID-19 tests are free to students, tests conducted by Quest Diagnostics are subject to health insurance coverage.

Due to lab restrictions and high demand for testing nationwide, we are not able to provide COVID-19 testing for travel.

COVID-19 Medical Care

Students can be seen on campus for symptoms of COVID-19. These appointments may be conducted virtually or in person. All appointments at the HCC are free.

If a student tests positive for COVID-19 at the HCC, the HCC providers will continue to provide healthcare follow up to the student including phone calls and follow up appointments as needed. This care is free of charge.

In addition, any student who tests positive for COVID-19 or is advised to quarantine due to an exposure will receive support from the UP COVID Case Management Team
