The Presidential Hope Fund is a dedicated fund that directly supports students experiencing varying life-altering events that put their UP education at risk. This critical fund embodies our Catholic and Holy Cross values and demonstrates the University’s dedication to standing with students in pursuit of their college education. Contributions to the Presidential Hope Fund provide needed stability and help ensure students’ continued success.
Apply for a Grant Give to the Fund
University of Portland offers emergency assistance to students who have experienced a financial emergency or unanticipated expenses that cause financial hardship. The goal is to cover expenses that affect a student’s ability to stay in college and complete their education.
Emergency funding is not intended to provide ongoing relief of recurring expenses or as a consistent supplement for educational purposes. Awards typically range from $100-$1,000. Applications for a Presidential Hope Fund Grant can be made online.
