Medical & Cloth Face Masks

Face Mask/Covering Hygiene

  • Wash or sanitize your hands before putting on your face mask/covering
  • Only touch the ear loops when adjusting your mask/covering - Do not touch the front near your nose or mouth.
  • If you touch the front of your mask/covering, immediately wash your hands with soap & water or sanitize with 60% alcohol hand sanitizer.
  • After removing, properly dispose of or launder your mask or covering. Wash or sanitize your hands immediately after handling.

Do's & Don'ts of Face Masks/Coverings

DO:

  • Be sure the correct side is facing outward (typically the darker colored side).
  • Cover your nose, mouth & chin and ensure there are no gaps - try to fit it snugly against the sides of your face & nose.
  • Make small adjustments to be sure you can breathe easily.

DON'T:

  • DON'T let the mask slide below your nose or chin.
  • DON'T touch the front of the mask/covering while you are wearing it. If you do, be sure to immediately wash your hands with soap & water or sanitize with 60% alcohol hand sanitizer.
  • DON'T put the mask/covering around your neck or on your forehead.
