Andrew Weingarten
Director of Residence Life

Andrew Weingarten serves as the Director in the University of Portland's Office of Residence Life. In this role, he provides leadership for the University's residence life, housing, and student conduct functions. He also serves on the University's Care and Behavioral Intervention & Threat Assessment (BITA) teams.

Andrew earned a bachelor's degree in biology from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA, a master's degree in mental health counseling from Manhattan College in Bronx, NY, and is currently working on an MBA at Manhattan College.

Before coming to UP, Andrew served as Director of Residence Life and as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Manhattan College. Prior to that, he served in various residence life capacities including Assistant Director for Housing Operations, Assistant Director for Student Conduct, Area Coordinator, and Assistant Hall Director.

Andrew, his wife Amanda, and their son Dominic live close to UP's campus. They relocated here from NYC and are enjoying meeting new people and exploring the beautiful Portland area.
