University of Portland operates with rolling admissions. Your application will be reviewed once all required materials are submitted.

Checklist for Transfers

  • Application (UP application or Common Application)
  • Official college transcript(s)
  • Official high school transcripts (if fewer than 26 semester hours or 39 quarter hours at the time of application)
  • Optional SAT or ACT scores (if fewer than 26 semester hours or 39 quarter hours at the time of application)
  • $50 Application Fee 

Timeline for Transfers

October 1
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) becomes available

December 1
Application deadline for Spring admission 
Housing application becomes available (confirm enrollment first)

June 1 
Preferred application deadline for Fall admission 

August 1
Final application deadline for Fall admission

Please note: If you have already requested or submitted your supporting documents, please allow additional time for processing.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts may be sent electronically or emailed to by your school's registrar. Mailed transcripts are to be sent to:

Test Scores (optional)

Please note that we will superscore the SAT and take the highest composite ACT score.

Record self-reported scores on your application, download the score report (PDF) through your CollegeBoard/ACT account and send to, or have the testing agency submit your scores for you (our ACT code is 3500 and our SAT code is 4847).
*If self reported scores are used for admission purposes, you are required to submit official test scores if you decide to attend University of Portland.
