University of Portland operates with rolling admissions. Your application will be reviewed once all required materials are submitted.

Checklist for Transfers

  • Application (UP application or Common Application)
  • Official college transcript(s)
  • Official high school transcripts (if fewer than 26 semester hours or 39 quarter hours at the time of application)
  • Optional SAT or ACT scores (if fewer than 26 semester hours or 39 quarter hours at the time of application)
  • $50 Application Fee 

Timeline for Transfers

October 1
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) becomes available

December 1
Application deadline for Spring admission 
Housing application becomes available (confirm enrollment first)

June 1 
Preferred application deadline for Fall admission 

August 1
Final application deadline for Fall admission

Please note: If you have already requested or submitted your supporting documents, please allow additional time for processing.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts may be sent electronically or emailed to admissions@up.edu by your school's registrar. Mailed transcripts are to be sent to:

Test Scores (optional)

Please note that we will superscore the SAT and take the highest composite ACT score.

Record self-reported scores on your application, download the score report (PDF) through your CollegeBoard/ACT account and send to admissions@up.edu, or have the testing agency submit your scores for you (our ACT code is 3500 and our SAT code is 4847).
*If self reported scores are used for admission purposes, you are required to submit official test scores if you decide to attend University of Portland.
