IM Leagues Instructions
Spirit of the Game- The Spirit of the Game system rewards teams who demonstrate good behavior in intramural sports competition. Teams receive a S.O.G. rating after each match and are required to have an average S.O.G. score of at least 4.5 to be eligible for the playoffs. Teams with high S.O.G. scores also may receive a seeding advantage in the playoffs. Good spirit of the game breeds fun and community in our leagues!
Student Employees- Our intramural staff of sports officials, supervisors and student coordinators are 100% UP students. We work together to train our staff to be knowledgeable and professional while they are scheduling, managing and officiating leagues, matches and tournaments. Check our student staff page to learn more about jobs with our program.
Champion t-shirts go green- This year's intramural champions t-shirts are made & printed by SustainU. They are green & white, diverting from our traditional color palette but what is really cool is that they use zero virgin resources and are made from two types of staple yarn: recycled pre-consumer cotton waste and post-consumer recycled polyester (PET). PETis derived primarily from plastic bottles and post-industrial polyester scraps. Made in the textile regions of North and South Carolina and Tennessee, SustainU clothing requires zero-virgin growth and minimal transportation, reducing both costs and environmental impact. They're also super soft! So go for the gold and win the green ! For more information, SustainU website.
