What Will I Learn in the Economics BBA Major?

University of Portland’s (UP) BBA in economics links foundational courses in business knowledge, such as finance and marketing, with a deep understanding of economic theory and its real-world applications. You will develop both your quantitative and critical thinking skills, so you can analyze data and consumer behavior to forecast trends and make informed business decisions in a global marketplace. 

Economics Courses

You’ll learn how microeconomics are influenced by individual choices and how national economies drive the macroeconomics that shape our world. Classes in analytics, research methods, and metrics for sustainability expand your views and prepare you to address today’s biggest challenges. While the BA in economics program emphasizes liberal arts electives, the BBA program focuses on business fundamentals.
