Visit Campus on a Weekday
Our everyday experience made for students and families looking to experience a couple hours or more on-campus! We offer twice daily information sessions and tours from 9-11 AM and 2-4 PM. Each session includes a brief 25-minute informational presentation followed by a 90-minute student-led tour of our beautiful campus. Tours include academic and student life spaces, at least one residence hall and dining location, Clark Library, Beauchamp Recreation Center, and more!
Customize your visit! During the registration process, you'll have the opportunity to request a 1:1 meeting with an admissions counselor. We highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity if your schedule allows! NEW: Beginning in September we'll be opening additional custom visit options for students and families to get an insider's look at academics. Contact us today or check back soon to learn more!
Visit on a Saturday
Although it's quiet, campus is just as beautiful on the weekends! Our Saturday sessions take place from 10:00 - 12:30 PM and kick off with an information session led by Admissions Counselors highlighting academic programs and demystifying the application process, followed by an engaging current student panel to get the inside scoop on student life. Then, hop on a 90-minute campus tour to see UP in action! A light complimentary breakfast is also included during the check-in window from 9:30-10 AM.

From academics and support services to extracurriculars and campus life opportunities, Discover UP! is designed for curious students and supporters alike. This program is free to attend and, in addition to lunch on-campus, all attendees and guests can:
- Explore academic and co-curricular programs during an interactive Academic Discovery Fair showcasing faculty from across all schools and representing over 90+ programs of study
- Enjoy a student-led campus tour showcasing our beautiful campus and student life spaces
- Attend afternoon breakout sessions on topics of your choice
- Learn about next steps and important dates in the Admissions and Financial Aid process

Academic Preview Days offer students the unique opportunity to take a deep dive into specific academic programs and to connect with UP faculty and students. This inside-look program showcases engaging panels, mini-lectures, mock classes, specialized facility tours, and plenty of opportunities for casual conversations with faculty, students, and alumni from the area of study you are most curious about. Each section will offer an optional student-led tour and lunch on campus!

Admitted Pilots:
Interested in sitting in a class? Grabbing lunch on campus with a current student? Touring specific facilities? Attending an academic information session? Auditioning for a Music or Theatre scholarship? Cheering on the Pilots at a home game? Pilot Fridays offer unique and customizable experiences for admitted students looking to make a college decision.
These highly personalized visits help tackle the unanswered questions and celebrate future Pilots!

We’re excited to welcome school groups to visit University of Portland! Group tours are available on select weekdays with advance registration. These visits include a campus tour led by a current student, and an information session with an admissions counselor.
Nursing Academic Preview Day - October 9
Connect with faculty, current students, and alumni from the School of Nursing and Health Innovations. Tour the Nursing facilities - including Oregon's first fully accredited, state of the art Simulated Health Center. Learn first-hand about the opportunities for UP Nursing students during an engaging student & alumni panel session. Hear from Admissions about next steps for Admissions and the Financial Aid process and participate in interactive activities with faculty.
Arrive early to go on a 1-hour walking tour of campus led by a current student, followed by a complimentary lunch on campus in the Bauccio Commons dining facility
Academic Preview Day - October 24
Featuring the School of Business, College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, and Shiley School of Engineering
Spend a Saturday on campus for a custom Academic Preview Day! During the registration process you will have the opportunity to select your Academic Preview Day experience with either the School of Business, College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, or Shiley School of Engineering.
Each school's Academic Preview Day experience will include information from Admissions about next steps for Admissions and the Financial Aid process, opportunities to engage with faculty, current students, and alumni from the host departments, as well as a complimentary lunch on campus.
School of Business
Learn first-hand about the opportunities for UP Business students. Picture your future potential with our Academic Advisors as they highlight the P4 Program for professional development and internship placement! Learn more about the exciting new major in Sports Business and our 3-to-Degree program.
College of Arts and Sciences
Experience classes in the College through teaching demonstrations! Meet and talk with faculty and student representatives across our 35 academic majors and 30 minors during an engaging panel session. Add on an optional tour of our unique Franz River Campus, Environmental lab and our cutting-edge science lab facilities, including the cadaver lab.
School of Education
Hear directly from students and recent graduates about their experiences at UP and in the profession. Participate in interactive teaching demonstrations that will give you a glimpse of what learning in our program is really like. Explore pathways in both primary and secondary education, including our accelerated 3+1 pathway, designed for undergraduates to also complete their master's degree in just 4 years!
Shiley School of Engineering
Explore the state-of-the-art engineering facilities where we solve real world problems using Computer Science and Engineering. Learn about unique projects and student clubs and organizations. Tune in to an engaging student and faculty panel session to see how Pilots become leaders in the field.

In partnership with UP staff, we offer helpful, timely sessions that cover all the important topics, like applying for Financial Aid, Housing & Student Life at UP, First-Generation student support, and so much more!
