"I am dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment where students can master complex concepts and build the confidence and resilience to deliver exceptional nursing care."

A proud alumna of the University of Portland, Amber Fromwiller earned her B.S.N. on The Bluff before working as a neonatal intensive care R.N. for two years. She went on to receive her M.S.N. in nurse anesthesia from Boston College and has dedicated the last 18 years to practicing as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), with extensive experience at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and in endoscopy at The Oregon Clinic. Throughout her career, Amber has shared her expertise as a guest lecturer for the OHSU Nurse Anesthesia Program and through mentoring countless students in the clinical arena. As an educator, she is passionate about breaking down complex concepts into bite-sized pieces and equipping students with the tools to confidently navigate high-stress clinical situations. Amber is thrilled to return to UP to inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in her garden and baking sweet treats. As Disneyland annual passholders, she and her family also love traveling to Disneyland multiple times each year.
