About

When he's not in the University Archives as our primary historian, Fr. Jeff is challenging the Juniors and Seniors of Haggerty & Tyson with his edgy sense of humor and thought-provoking homilies.

Fr. Jeff Schneibel, CSC, returned to the Bluff in 2012 to serve in the University Archives and Museum, having previously served the UP community in the mid-90’s as an instructor in the Department of Philosophy and as the Salzburg Director. His doctorate in the area of South Asian Studies opened the avenue to teaching courses describing classical Hindu and Buddhist culture. Raised in Minneapolis, MN; he has worked in both university and parish ministry as teacher and pastor since his ordination as a Holy Cross priest in 1984. He is the pastoral resident in the University Village, living at Tyson Hall.
