About

Lindsey Johnson is the Academic Advisor for Shiley School of Engineering. She joined University of Portland in 2024 after serving as Associate Registrar at National University of Natural Medicine and as Registrar and Marketing Coordinator at Tilden Preparatory School. Throughout her career, Lindsey has been passionate about supporting students as they navigate their educational journeys and discover paths that align with their goals and values.

Originally from Minnesota, Lindsey credits her own liberal arts experience with shaping her appreciation for holistic education and the importance of developing the whole person. She has worked with learners of all ages in a variety of settings, including higher education, middle and high school, and music instruction as a Kindermusik, voice, and piano teacher. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to building supportive relationships, fostering student confidence, and helping individuals to recognize their potential.

At University of Portland, Lindsey enjoys working with engineering and computer science students as they prepare to solve meaningful challenges and make a positive impact in the world. Outside of work, Lindsey performs with Portland Opera, Opera on Tap, and is a co-founder of New Wave Opera, a Portland-based nonprofit.
