About

Lizhong Hao is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Pamplin School of Business.  Before joining the University of Portland, he worked as an Assistant Professor at California State University, Fresno from 2013 to 2017.  He received his Ph.D. in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in 2013 and his M.S. in Accounting from Kent State University in 2008.  His primary research focuses on financial accounting, capital market and the impact of new accounting information technology, using archival research methodology.  His recent research has been published in Journal of Accounting and Finance (JAF), Journal of Information Systems (JIS), Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting (JETA), International Journal of Accounting and Information Management, and Oil, Gas & Energy Quarterly.  He has been an active member of American Accounting Association (AAA) since 2008 and currently serves as an At-Large member of the AIS Section of AAA.  He has taught Intermediate Accounting I and II, Cost Accounting, Managerial Accounting Applications, and Principles of Financial and Managerial Accounting.
