ADvantage services include designing and producing high quality digital flyers as well as video services, hard-copy posters, flyers, and table tents to publicize campus events. ADvantage is coordinated by a student director, and is assisted by a small and dedicated retinue of student graphic designers. Job Title

ADvantage Director

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversees all ADvantage orders
• Generates new customers
• Manages the ADvantage advertising system (i.e. processing and assigning orders, monitoring screen function, etc.)
• Manages a team of designers, oversees and delegates between graphic designers
• Regularly communicates with clients, designers, supervisors, and advisors
• Tracks and reconciles all billing charges
• Leads all ADvantage staff meetings
• Includes designer responsibilities of designing, printing, and distributing publicity
• Maintains the University Standards of decency and acceptability for all publicity
• Promotes a positive image of ASUP and ADvantage’s role on campus

General Qualifications & Requirements

• Full-time undergraduate student with a minimum 2.5 GPA
• Clear of disciplinary probations and sanctions
• Experience in graphic design and Photoshop preferred, but not required
• Strong communication, entrepreneurial, organizational skills
• Customer service and client support proficiency
• Able to display leadership and management skills

Time Commitment & Required Availability

• Director must hold at least 10 regular office hours on a weekly basis
• Weekly meetings with staff
• Periodic Meetings with ASUP President and Office of Student Activities

Job Title

ASUP Films Director

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the ASUP Film service and the planning of pre-release movie showings for students
• Plans and hosts two pre-released movies per semester
• Coordinates and support clubs interested in showing movies, including accessing film rights and providing concessions
• Coordinates with ADvantage and the ASUP Director of Communications to market upcoming movies through appropriate media
• Promotes services and generates new customers
• Meets with the ASUP Director of Finance when needed to discuss invoicing and billing
• Hires and supervises staff of 2-4 and leads all staff meetings
• Ensures movies shown follow the Catholic News Service’s movie reviews and guidelines
• Serves as the contact person between SWANK Motion Company and the University

General Qualifications & Requirements

• Required: Organizational and time management skills
• Required: Flexible and able to learn quickly on the job
• Preferred: Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: Ingenuity to continually adapt the service alongside current culture

Time Commitment & Required Availability

• Must be available for monthly showings. Monthly showings are usually on Friday and Saturday, starting at 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM, possibly Thursday night or Sunday afternoon
• Minimum of 5 hours per week for office availability
