LOG Yearbook Copy Editor


Duties and responsibilities associated with the position

  • Oversees two staff writers delegating and assigning stories
  • Has creative insight and into how to best capture the year in written form along with the ability to give strong direction to writers
  • Oversees all editing and proofing of all copy
  • Responsible for all story ideas and copy written for the yearbook, in consultation with the Editor


General qualifications and requirements

  • Required: comprehensive knowledge of AP Style and is proficient in grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.


Time commitment and required availability

  • Regular contributor, writing 11-15 stories (200-400 words) per semester
  • Must attend all editorial and staff meetings (2/week). Absences must be cleared in advance through the Editor and Advisor
