Care Team

Is this an emergency?

Please call Campus Safety at 503.943.4444 or call 911.

The Care Team does not respond directly to emergencies.

University of Portland is committed to providing a personal education for each of our students, and the Care Team Program is a key part of this vision.

When parents, faculty, or staff members are concerned about the physical, emotional, academic or personal health of a University student, the Care Team Program can assess the situation, offer support, and provide referrals to the breadth of resources on-campus. Explore the links on this page to learn more about the resources available through this program.

Your time at University of Portland can be difficult and stressful. The Care Team exists to offer support and connection to resources.

Why is someone contacting me?

If someone submits a Care Team Referral on your behalf you may hear from someone from the Care Team to find a time to meet with you. The goal of this meeting is to check in with you, learn more about you, and offer you support to get connected to campus resources that may be helpful.

  • The purpose of outreach is to offer support
  • The Care Team respects the privacy and dignity of each student
  • Meeting with a Care Team member is optional
