Services
All current University of Portland students enrolled full-time or part-time are eligible for services. Students who are on academic suspension or who have taken a medical or other leave from the University are not eligible for services but may be seen for a one-time consultation appointment for assistance with off-campus referrals. Alumni, former UP students, faculty, and staff are not eligible for services. Staff and faculty who are enrolled in classes using the employee benefit are not eligible for health and/or counseling services.

Billing & Insurance
Health Services within the Health & Counseling Center are in-network with most major insurance plans including:
- PacificSource
- United Healthcare
- Providence
- Cigna
- Aetna
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield/Regence
- Moda
- TriCare Select
- First Choice
- Medicaid plans are welcome
Students with out-of-network insurance plans can still be seen but will be billed directly. Financial assistance and payment plans are available. Please contact your insurance company directly to learn about your coverage for healthcare services at the Health & Counseling Center.

Insurance Requirement
The University believes that a robust health plan that provides access to local care is vital to the well-being of our students. As such, all undergraduate students are required to carry medical insurance. More information about the insurance requirement and waivers can be found at Student Accounts.
