Equipment

Digital Lab equipment is available to current students, faculty, and staff. Patrons may borrow items for 24 hours with extended loans subject to equipment availability.  Users need to present their own photo ID to borrow equipment. Patrons are responsible for the care and timely return of all loaned equipment during use and transit including:

  • Third party (classmate or colleague) use and return
    • Equipment damage
    • Equipment theft
    • Loss of any equipment component
  • Equipment return in the same condition. Fines for repair or replacement will be assessed for damaged or incomplete items. 
Late equipment will be accessed fines of $1.00 per item per hour. This includes partial returns where items lack all components.

Equipment Renewals
Patrons are asked to call (503.943.7796) or visit the Lab’s service desk to renew loaned equipment. Renewals are subject to equipment availability.

Equipment Reservations
Patrons may visit the Lab’s service desk to reserve cameras, sound recorders, and tripods for use in support of their courses. Please note:

  • Reservations may be made up to 14 days in advance.
  • Items may be booked for up to 3 days.

Staff and faculty are encouraged to visit Academic Technology Services and Innovation for training regarding instructional technology use and Audio Visual Services for audiovisual equipment services, long-term technology loans, and classroom support.
