MSOTM Courses

UP’s 30- to 33-credit master of science in operations and technology management degree program can be completed in two years, allowing you to continue your career as you immediately apply course concepts in the workplace.

If you do not have an academic or professional operations and technology management (OTM) background, you are required to take an introductory OTM course to ensure you understand the fundamentals of the industry. Core common courses include business analytics, process analysis and quality management, decision modeling and analytics, and project management. Building on this foundation, you can select from one of four program tracks, crafting a dynamic plan of study in courses that will keep you on the pulse of the OTM field.

Degree Requirements

To apply to UP’s MSOTM degree program, you must submit the following:

Statement of goals
Current résumé
Two recommendation letters
Official transcripts (from all previously attended academic institutions)
A bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university recognized by the University of Portland
Undergraduate G.P.A of 3.2 (on a scale of 4.0)
International Applicants
- All foreign transcripts will be evaluated by International Student Services prior to an admission decision
- An official score from the TOEFL (minimum score of 88), IELTS (minimum score of 7.0), or Duolingo (minimum score of 110) exam is required.
- Proof of financial support will be required to attend the University of Portland, but it is not required for application review
