Collaborative for International Studies & Global Outreach

Bienvenidos to the Collaborative for International Studies and Global Outreach (CISGO) website! Here you will find a variety of international programs that provide University of Portland students different opportunities to study, live, and serve overseas.

Mission

Our mission sends us across borders of every sort. Often we must make ourselves at home among more than one people or culture, reminding us again that the farther we go in giving, the more we stand to receive. (Holy Cross Constitution 2.17)

The Collaborative for International Studies and Global Outreach supports programs and services to cultivate the exchange of ideas and to bring the University of Portland mission into the international community.

The Collaborative brings together information on international study, research and service programs on campus, sponsors seminars by international scholars and leaders, and supports teaching and research projects that explore international issues. Through the Collaborative, scholars and students can nurture a dynamic dialogue that extends our hearts, hands, and minds to include our local, national, and international communities.

Guided by its mission to promote international awareness, the International Studies and Global Outreach Collaborative (CISGO) has articulated the following objectives, each of which supports the dynamic vision of the collaborative.
