Honors Program

The University of Portland’s Honors Program is an active community of students who are committed to connecting their work with the outside world and making an impact at the University and beyond as “public intellectuals.”

The Honors Program celebrates and promotes:

Engagement: students are provided with the tools to translate their academic work and interests into opportunities for bettering our world
Interdisciplinarity: students are encouraged to look beyond academic boundaries in order to productively observe and problem-solve
Reflection: students are provided with opportunities to reflect on their development and accomplishments, their strengths, and their values in order to chart an impactful and meaningful future both in school and beyond
