UP Honors Program Benefits

Priority Registration 

• UP Honors students are eligible to register early, ensuring their ability to tailor their schedules and maximize their studies 

Small Class Sizes and Honors Specific Sections 

• UP Honors students take several Honors-specific, small courses 

Early Move In  

• UP Honors students participate in a week-long, credit-bearing Colloquium experience before classes begin and move onto campus early 

Funds for Cultural Engagement and Conferences 

• The Honors Program provides funds for students to present work at conferences across the country and attend cultural events in the Portland area 

Special Scholarships and Fellowships 

• Honors students are eligible for scholarship funds and may apply for external fellowships from the National Collegiate Honors Council  

Community  

• All Honors students are connected with a faculty mentor outside of their discipline and get to know their fellow students well through monthly Honors events, celebrations, and courses
