 My Library Account  Course Reserves  Interlibrary Loan (UP ILLiad)

  • My Library Account: Manage your library borrowing, including due dates, renewals, and requests.
  • Course Reserves: Find course readings and materials provided by your instructor through the library.
  • Interlibrary Loan (UP ILLiad): Get books and articles that aren't available at UP by requesting them from other libraries, and access items that are delivered electronically online.

 

Borrow with Your UP ID

Your UP ID serves as your library card. Use it to check out books, laptops, chargers, and more from the library service desk. Video and sound recording equipment are available from the Digital Lab.

Borrowing Beyond the Clark Library

Can't find what you need at Clark Library? Through Summit and Interlibrary Loan, you have access to millions of additional books, articles, and other resources from libraries across the region and around the world, often at no extra cost to you.

Summit (Regional Consortium)

Summit connects the University of Portland with academic libraries across the Pacific Northwest that are in the Orbis Cascade Alliance consortium.

Using UP Library Search, you can easily discover and request materials from participating libraries.

  • Request items directly through UP Library Search after signing in to your library account.
  • Most items arrive within 5 days.
  • Visit other participating libraries and borrow materials in person with your UP ID.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

If Clark Library and Summit do not have the item you need, our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) department can obtain materials from other libraries.

Request books, articles, dissertations, and other resources through UP ILLiad. Many articles and book chapters are delivered electronically, often within just a few days.

Get it @ UP

Get it @ UP helps you locate and access library resources. When you choose the Get it @ UP link in a library database or Google Scholar, Clark Library searches for available full text and connects you directly to it. If the library does not have access to the item, you'll see an option to request it through Interlibrary Loan.
