Get Help
Clark Library staff are part of your academic support team and are here to help you succeed! All questions are welcome. Not sure what to ask? Contact us anyway and we'll figure it out together!
Ways to Get Help
Drop by or contact the Service Desk on Level One of the Library (map). Library staff and student assistants can help you with using the library, reserving study spaces, accessing course reserves, borrowing materials, as well as for help with anything related to your research process, such as developing topics, searching effectively, finding sources, accessing full text, and more.
The Digital Lab desk is located in the Shiley-Marcos Center for Design & Innovation, Room 301. Drop by or contact for help with multimedia projects, or to borrow audio and video recording equipment.
Use library chat to get help from a live person at any time. The chat service is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When UP librarians are offline, a wider network of librarians is ready to take your questions. You will see a chat button or widget on many library web pages, on all Canvas course pages, and embedded in many library databases.
Appointments are a service that our librarians provide to offer you personalized help. These one-on-one appointments create a private space for getting help with locating quality sources, developing effective search strategies, and meeting your professor's assignment criteria. You can use this service as often as you need it. We have many repeat customers!
