“When I found out I was a one of the students being considered for the award, I was still focused on finishing my capstone project and finding a job,” Langer said. “It was very rewarding and validating to have my years of hard work recognized.”

As Langer looks back on his experiences at UP, he is grateful for his time spent with the engineering faculty and staff.

“Whether you were working on a school project or designing something for fun, my professor and lab technicians were always super helpful,” Langer said. “I spent a lot of time in Maker Space in Shiley Hall working on projects on the laser engraver and 3D printer.”

After graduation, Langer is looking forward to his move to Boise, Idaho, and to beginning work as a DRAM product engineer at Micron Technology, Inc.

“My favorite class at UP, Introduction to Digital VLSI Design, was very important to the development of skills that I will be using in my new job,” Langer said. “The material was fun to learn and the professor was great.”
