Opera on The Bluff | University of Portland

Opera on The Bluff

Due to the continually unfolding COVID-19 pandemic, the debut of Opera on the Bluff will be postponed.
We have an excellent cast chosen to perform H.M.S. Pinafore and a magnificent orchestra committed to play. Our design and production team will continue their work to create something visually spectacular. The show is planned and will simply be preserved for another year like a delicious jar of canned Redhaven peaches.

We hope that our audience will continue to practice social distancing in order to help our valued medical community by staggering the rate of infection of COVID-19. We look forward to seeing everyone in excellent health, laughing, embracing and sitting next to one another at our production of H.M.S. Pinafore!

Opera on the Bluff is a company devoted to the training of young artists through the performance of light opera and operetta. This tuition free program culminates in eleven fully staged and costumed performances with a professional orchestra over three weekends. Performers are selected from national auditions to spend five weeks at University of Portland working with top professionals as we all create a production together.
