The University of Portland Public Safety Department exists to serve the campus community. Our mission is to support the University's primary objectives of teaching, faith, and service by helping to promote, create, and maintain a safe, secure, and enjoyable campus environment for all members of the University Community and its guests. We are dedicated and committed to helping the University "create a civil place based on Catholic values and common good" (Student Handbook, 2).

Public Safety is located at 5408 North Warren Street, across the street from Haggerty Hall and near the Chiles Center.

Public Safety is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Between the hours of 10PM and 7AM, the front doors are secured and a callbox at the front door will be used to ensure the security of the department's office.
