Ashley Causey has worked in a variety of specialties for over twenty-seven years as a registered nurse, including in the pediatric intensive care unit (ICU), cardiac ICU, operating room, post-anesthesia care unit, and leadership. These diverse roles have given Ashley a broad understanding of patient care and deepened her passion for nursing. Ashley completed her master’s in nursing education at Seattle Pacific University in 2015 and has been teaching nursing students at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in both Oregon and Washington. In 2022, she was awarded a doctor of nursing practice degree with a focus in leadership and global healthcare from Indiana Wesleyan University. Ashley is enrolled at Gonzaga University, completing her second MSN as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner to work with teenagers. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and going outdoors.
