About

Larlene Dunsmuir, DNP, FNP, ANP-BC is a Visiting Professor at the University of Portland, School of Nursing and Health Innovations. She completed her BS in Nursing in 1985 and her MS in Nursing in 1993, both at the University of Portland. She returned to the University of Portland to complete a post-master’s certificate program in Family Nursing in 2000. Professor Dunsmuir obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Chatham University in 2014. She has enjoyed a long clinical career as an RN and Nurse Practitioner and has worked diligently as an advocate for the profession. She has also been an adjunct professor for the School of Nursing since 2015 and is looking forward to moving into the full-time faculty role.
