Who can be married at the Chapel of Christ the Teacher? Students, alumni, faculty and staff of the Univeristy of Portland.

Does it have to be a Roman Catholic wedding? Yes. The wedding must be celebrated by a Roman Catholic prest of deacon and either the bride or the groom must be Roman Catholic.

What are the marriage preparation requirements? In order to help you prepare for your marriage, we require completion of a FOCCUS inventory (including administration and discussion of it) and highly encourage attending either the Engaged Encounter or one of the pre-marriage programs available in Portland through your parish or counseling center.

How many guests can we invite to our wedding? The Chapel can comfortably seat approximately 350 - 250 guest downstairs and 100 in the gallery.

How much does it cost to use the Chapel for a wedding? The cost is $350 which covers the use of th Chapel and its facilities, a consultation with the Director of Music, and the services of a sacristan at the rehearsal and wedding.

Contact the Office of Campus Ministry at 943-7131 at least six months in advance to schedule the date of the wedding.
