What is institutional research?
The Office of Institutional Research provides and coordinates institutional information to support reporting, decision-making, and planning activities of the University. The Office serves the administration, trustees, faculty, and other internal and external constitutencies of the University. These services include:
• Assisting the institution in its planning and assessment activities
• Responding to internal and external institutional data requests
• Conducting studies and data analysis of special programs or one-time issues
• Producing a regular cycle of institutional reports and data analysis, and administration of student surveys designed to support recurring decision needs of the institution
• Completing state and federal reporting requirements
On this web site:
This site is a resource for institutional information and data. Reports and analyses of student surveys will be viewable by on-campus users through a site to be announced. The UP at a Glance page is a concise profile of UP and its students for prospective students and parents.
Also included are additional external information resources with links to data bases, statistical resources, research organizations, higher education organizations, and resources for assessment.
