Institutional Research: Home
What is institutional research?
The Office of Institutional Research provides information, data and analysis to support the University in planning, decision making, program development and assessment. The IR office serves the administration, trustees, and faculty, as well as external constituencies of the University.
Official Institutional Census Information
In mid-September Institutional Research conducts an official census of the student population as reflected in the BANNER information system. Data on student enrollment and demographics are collected to support external reporting, which includes required federal reporting and major national publications. This web site is the source of the official student census data, in addition to other information deemed important to the college community as a whole. These are the data also found in the Common Data Set, which was designed to support the needs of major national college guides and similar publications. In addition to census data, it includes information on financial aid, faculty, class size, and various university offerings, procedures and policies.
