Institutional Review Board: Completed Projects

In addition, all records must be retained by the principal investigator for three years after completion of the research.  Records may include such items as research proposals, informed consent documents, progress reports, reports of injuries to subjects, and all related correspondence concerning the use of human subjects.  Unless otherwise stipulated by the IRB, records may be destroyed at the end of three years following the completion of the research project.
