On Call Counselor

ProtoCall allows students to speak with a counselor and get confidential support. To speak with a counselor, call the Health and Counseling Center at 503.943.7134, and select Option 3

When to call:

  • To talk about a situation (ie, what to do if a friend is leaving concerning messages on social media.)
  • To get confidential support (ie, grief about a recent break up, death of a family member, fight with a friend)
  • To access crisis support (ie, sexual assault, thinking about suicide or self injury)

It doesn't matter where you reside when it comes to accessing this telephonic support. If you are not on campus or in the Portland area, notify your Protocall clinician so they know how to interpret their procedures, such as when it comes to offering local resources or escalating to in-person intervention.
