Housing Options and Amenities

Our guest accommodations feature 11 residence halls grouped in quads on the east, west and north sides of campus. These standard and suite-style residence halls comfortably accommodate 150 to 400 guests each. University dining facilities are located close to all on-campus housing.

General Information

  • Most guest rooms are double occupancy and located along each side of the corridor, with stair and elevator access (unless otherwise stated) to each floor.
  • Single rooms, double rooms, triple rooms, and suite-style rooms are all available in certain residence halls.
  • The terms single, double, triple, etc. always refer to occupancy limits and the number of  beds in the room.
  • Due to fire and safety standards, room occupancy limits must be followed by all guests.
  • For their comfort and convenience, guests may want to bring an alarm clock, a fan, and hangars. Those in standard halls may also want to bring flip flops and a robe for showering.

Custodial Services

Our custodial staff cleans and disinfects common bathrooms (in standard/traditional halls) and common areas each day. Individual rooms are cleaned prior to guests arrival and upon their departure.

Common Area in the Residence Halls

  • Small guest lounges are available for use on each floor by prior arrangements with University Events & Conferences staff. Furniture typically includes chairs, couches, and/or tables. The furniture is not to be moved.
  • The main lounger (generally on the first floor) is available for all conference groups residing in the building and may be reserved by prior arrangement with University Events & Conferences staff.
  • Each hall has a laundry room that is available to guests. You can request laundry cards from the University Events & Conferences staff. Guests must provide their own detergent.
  • Kitchenettes may be available for use during the summer. Guests will need to bring their own utensils and kitchen ware.
  • For the safety and security of our guests, the front entrance doors of each hall will remain locked at all times. Adult guests will receive access cards to the front door. Youth guests will need to be accompanied by an adult (such as staff, chaperone, or camp counselor) for building access.

Room Access

Youth participants will only be issued a room key. Adults in both youth and adult groups will be issued a room key and an outside access card. We ask that you stress the importance of safety and security as it related to keeping track of keys. The conference sponsor will be charged for all keys and key cards not returned at check out.

Internet Service

All buildings have wireless throughout the building and access is provided free of charge.  You need to access the UPGuest WiFi network and it will automatically sign you onto our University WiFi.
